The New Anchorage HG 1 handstamp
New Anchorage was on the road passing Diamond Harbour, on the east bank of the Hooghly River, opposite Kedgeree (on the west bank), and was probably later named "Kakdwip", situated approximately nON and 88'E in Twenty-four Parganas, Bengal, 20 miles south of Calcutta.
