India, Calcutta, 1816, "KING'S POST/Cos INLd dO/181_" Framed Handstamp (Giles SR7). Excellent strike with manuscript "1" rate and "19 Sept 1816" date added on back of folded cover (missing inner page) from Scotland to Calcutta, sender's directive "per Caledonia" , "India Ship Letter, London, 27 MY 27 1816" circular despatch datestamp, manuscript "2/4" rate marking, Very Fine, quite scarce in this condition
