INDIA, Calcutta, 1817, "KING'S POSTE./Cos INLd. do./181_" Boxed Datestamp (Giles SR7). Bold boxed three-line datestamp with manuscript "27 (181)7, Novb." date added on back of folded letter and applied on arrival from Inverness, Scotland, addressed to Calcutta, Inverness May 11 despatch datestamp, "Addl 1/2" handstamp and Crowned India Packet Letter London with May 13 transit datestamp, rated "1/4" erroneously and rerated "2/10", Very Fine, this datestamp was in use from 1816 to Oct. 1819
