Description

Early Letter 1833 (7 Nov.) entire letter from Penang to London, rated "1/4" and showing, on reverse, a largely fine strike of the "prince of wales island/post office" circular intaglio seal handstamp with date in manuscript and poor "india letter/penzance" h.s. in red; traces of water staining at foot and minor splits at some folds. A good strike of this handstamp. Photo
