Description

INDIA, Camp Jalnah, 1824, "CAMP JALNAH/POST PAID" Handstamp (Giles 2). Bold boxed strike in black on back of 1824 folded letter with manuscript "10 As to Bombay, 28th April 1824" docketing, addressed to Ravensthrope, England, forwarded to Jersey, sender's directive "via Bombay", variously rated, light strike of boxed "INDIA LETTER/GRAVESEND" handstamp (Robertson In. 2) and red London Oct. 5 transit datestamp, cover with slight soiling, still Very Fine and the Camp Jalnah marking is quite rare, particularly in black
