India, Camp Jalnah, 1823, "CAMP JALNAH/POST PAID" Framed Handstamp (Giles 2). Bold strike with manuscript "1 Rs to Madras 21 June 1823" beside on back of folded letter to London, forwarded to Edinburgh, further manuscript forwarding notations to Bombay, framed "1/2" and "INDIA LETTER/PLYMOUTH" handstamps (Robertson In. 1), London and Edinburgh transit and arrival datestamps, manuscript "1/3" due rate marking, Very Fine strike of this scarce marking, particularly in black
