1822 Hyderabad pre stamp cover Post paid markings to Madras with Madras Ship Letter mark and shipped to Portsmouth (India Letter Portsmouth in red). Postage sea rate of 1/8d which was a sea rate of 4d (special concession rate for India letters) plus the 1/4 rate of inland transit rate from Portsmouth to London (72 miles). Scarce exhibition cover showcasing early outgoing mail from Hyderabad during pre-stamp period.
