1842 (March 5) Folded entire sent from Bolarum to Lucknow with clear deep-red strike “BOLARAM Paid” on reverse with inserted date in pen and weight notation “1 ½ tola” to indicate triple weight postage. Very attractive and rare.

1843 Entire, was sent from Bolaram to Lucknow by applying Giles 1 Bolaram hand stamp in Red with 10a. tariff. Giles 13 Lucknow Paid hand stamp was used receipt postmark. This cover was addressed to Dr. J. S. Login or John Spencer Login. Who was the Residency Surgeon at Lucknow. Extremely scarce postal history cover.

1843 Bolaram – Lucknow inland entire, with Bolaram Giles 1 "BOLARAM/Paid" despatch handstamp, date "17 July 1843" & paid rate "10 as" (comprising 5A × 2, double-letter inland rate for weight between ¼ & ½ tolah) applied in manuscript, addressed to Dr. John Spencer Login, Residency Surgeon, Lucknow, who served as guardian to Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, after the annexation of Punjab. Giles 8 "LUCKNOW/1843 JULY 27/Paid" applied as the delivery mark.

1854 (Nov 3) Large part of cover from Bolarum via Calcutta to Madras, franked by one ½a (S.G. 4-2, die I) cut close at top, tied by Bolarum dotted lozenge. Boxed “BOLARUM/Paid” pm in red with inserted date, next to Calcutta GPO transit pm in red on back. No arrival mark of Madras. Some ink corrosion affects the letter front.
