Entire letter posted from Bangalore to Madras on 2nd October 1817, bearing the Bangalore Post Paid handstamp (HG-2). The letter prepaid the double rate of 9 fanams for a distance of approximately 210 miles. It also bears the rare Madras MX-1 handstamp in black.
