India, Moongyr, 1826, "Post/Moongyr/Paid" Negative Intaglio Handstamp (Giles 1). Clear and mostly legible strike with manuscript "22 Feby 1826" date and "P Pd 6 ans" rate added on back of folded letter to Teigenmouth, England, red "AM" handstamp, framed "INDIA LETTER/DEAL" handstamp (Robertson In. 1), two Calcutta (Feb. 28) and London (Sept. 4) transit datestamps, manuscript "1/4" rate marking, cover with some minor wear, accompanied by transcription of letter, Fine, noted as "Scarce" by Giles
