India, Moongyr, 1826, "Post/Moongyr/Paid" Negative Intaglio Handstamp (Giles 1). Bold and mostly legible strike with manuscript "31st March 1837" date added below (year partially missing due to opening) on back of folded letter to Calcutta, red framed "AM" handstamp, Calcutta arrival backstamp, accompanied by transcription of letter, cover with some overall ageing including toned spot around intaglio handstamp, still Very Fine, noted as "scarce" by Giles
