India (French Settlement), Chandernagore, 1826, "Chandernagore/Post Office/18__" Oval Handstamp (Giles 1). Clear and complete strike with manuscript " (18) 26" and "4 Nover" date added (opening tear along left of strike) on folded letter to Khosalpoor, cover with splitting along internal folds, Very Fine strike of this French Settlement postal marking which Giles notes as "Rare" and used between 1820-1830
