Budbud (the Bood Bood of early records) is a town in Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal, on the Grand Trunk Road west of Bardhaman in the Damodar valley coalfield borderland. It was a stage on the great trunk route across western Bengal. As a post town of the Bengal Presidency its pre-1854 markings trace the mail of the Bardhaman road.
