Description

Singapore 1830 (6 Jan.), entire docketed as Malacca, addressed to London, rated 2/- and showing, on reverse, a good to fine strike of the boxed "singapore/p.o." datestamp in black for 2 Feb. 1830 and a large part of the framed "india/letter/weymouth" overstruck by arrival c.d.s.; the entire with wax seal cut away on reverse. An unrecorded example of this very rare datestamp of which only flour other examples are recorded. Photo
