Jacobabad
Jacobabad is a city in the Sindh province of Pakistan, founded by and named after the British officer John Jacob, who developed it as a frontier cantonment and headquarters guarding the Upper Sindh border. Known for extreme summer heat, it became a route town toward Balochistan. Established as a post town under Company rule, its pre-1854 and early markings record the mail of the Sindh frontier.
