The Sirowie HG 1 handstamp
Sirowie (Sirohi) was the capital of the State of Sirowie, Rajputana, situated 24°53' N and 72°53' E, about 16 miles north-west of Pindwara. It was built about 1425, and was surrounded by a fortified wall erected by one of the Musalman kings of Malwa.
Sirowie HG 1 is a pre-1854 handstruck postal marking of the post office at Sirowie — the present-day Sirohi — in the Punjab, British India, in recorded use from 1831 to 1832.
