Gogera (the Googaira of early records) is a historic town in the Punjab of Pakistan, near the Ravi in the Sahiwal (Montgomery) tract, once a district headquarters and later prominent in the 1857 rising of the frontier tribes. It stood on the routes of the Bari and Rachna Doabs. Established as a post town after the annexation of the Punjab, its early markings record the Company's mail across the central Punjab plain.
