This town is located at 27°42′N, 78°24′E in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The Post Office Manual published in 1858 does not list it on pages XCVIII through to XCX, but the 1869 Postal Guide shows it as a Head Office under Allygurh. The cover on which this stamp has been discovered is from 1854, and the reason for this discrepancy is (probably) because the 1858 Manual based its data on 1854 and omitted recently opened post offices.
Secundrarao has 1 pre-1854 hand-struck postal marking from 1854 recorded in this census. Each figure links to its covers, rarity and provenance.
