Description

India, Muttra, 1828, "MUTTRA/PtPd/18__" Framed Handstamp (Giles 1). Mostly complete strike on back of folded letter datelined "Muttra April 13th, 1828" and addressed to Captain Ouseley in Calcutta, red "AM" handstamp, red Calcutta (Apr. 20) arrival backstamp, transcription of letter accompanies, cover with slight opening faults to flap (affecting Calcutta datestamp) and internal tape reinforcement causing stain which just affects Muttra handstamp, still Fine
