Clear strike with manuscript " (18) 29 17 Octr" date and rate calculations added on back of folded letter to London, forwarded within London, framed "INDIA LETTER/DOVER" handstamp (Robertson In. 6), Calcutta (Nov. 3) transit and London (Mar. 2) arrival backstamps, manuscript "1/-" rate marking, cover with archival tape repairing splitting along folds and minor edge tears, still Fine strike which is noted as "Scarce" by Giles
