1826 Nemutch – Calcutta inland entire, with Meywar Field Force Giles 1 "P.O./Meywar/F. Force./18.." despatch handstamp, date "15 Decr 26" & rate "PP 1 – 2 as" (Post Paid 1R2A for letter not exceeding 1 Tolah, for distance between 1000 to 1100 miles, distance between Nemutch – Calcutta was around 1080 miles) applied in manuscript. At Calcutta, Giles G8 "CALCUTTA/G.P.O./20 DE 20/1826" (DE inverted) & "AM" receipt mark applied prior to delivery. Nemutch was a British cantonment in the Mandsaur district of Gwalior State.
