Cawnpore, 1802, "CAWNPore" Handstamp (Giles 1). Exceptional strike on flap of folded letter datelined Khanpore Jul. 27, 1802, and addressed to Ide, England, manuscript "Land and Ship Post Paid" with "pd 10", rated "4d" on arrival, light strike of large Bengal G.P.O. transit marking of Calcutta and "Ship Letter London" crown circle datestamp, Extremely Fine strike of this marking which is listed as rare by Giles, easily one of the finest of the few recorded
