1825 Quilon – Gloucestershire entire via Bombay & Cape route, with Giles 1 "QUILON/POST PAID" handstamp, date "9 July 1825" & rate "Rs1 As1" (comprising 15A inland postage to Bombay & 2A outward sea postage paid) applied in manuscript. From Bombay, sent to the UK via the Cape route, transited through Liverpool port & there "INDIA LETTER/LIVERPOOL" mark applied. "1/2" comprising 4d ship letter postage (under 3 oz.) & 10d inland postage to Gloucestershire applied in manuscript, which was collected from the recipient.
