Well-struck in red with manuscript "18 Sept. 1846" date and "10 as to Bombay, 8 as Steamer Postage" rate added on back of folded letter to Nantes, France, sender's directive "Par Steamer via Bombay, Suez & Marseille" , red "INDIA PAID" handstamp, Marseilles (Oct. 31) and Bordeaux (Nov. 3) transit and Nantes (Nov. 4) arrival datestamps, manuscript "30" rate marking, Very Fine and scarce postal marking from Karical
