Description

Hurryhur: 1831 (2 June) entire letter from an Officer taking part in the Mysore Rebellion, to his father in London and redirected to France showing, on reverse, superb framed "HURRYHUR/POST PAID" in brown, "OUT STATION/MADRAS/SHIP LETTER" oval datestamp (HG SD11), Madras oval datestamp (HG MX4), part Dartmouth India Letter handstamp and three U.K. c.d.s., "ANGLETERRE" handstamp on face; fascinating contents regarding the writer's various military adventures.
