KURPAH/POST PAID. 1817: H.G.1: Entire letter posted from KURPAH [2 Aug.] the old name of CUDDAPAH to MADRAS [6 Aug.] MADRAS to CUDDAPAH being about 150 miles apart, a single letter Postage paid 3 fanam shown in manuscript. A double circle black colour mark POST/KURPAH/PAID was used during 1817-24 and considered as a very rare cancellation.
