In the text the writer indicates he is travélling from Madras to Bangalore and is staying at Renguntoon a village 33 mls: from Vellore & 120 from Madras, staying with the 48th Regt: Native Infantry The letter dated 4th: Oct:, was not posted until he reached Bangalore, it was then taken back to Madras by Dak Post.
