Description
Entire Soldier's letter posted from Bangalore to England with rare "Bangalore / Free" HG11 handstamp in red color along with the Soldier's Seamens letter handstamp. The letter was carried free of postage from Bangalore to Madras where SD11 "Outstation Madras ShipLetter" was applied in black on 27th January 1844. The post was written by Lieutenant Burton, No.184 C.Company 2nd EL Infantry.
