Description
SG 54 / 56 with three good and one close margins on envelope sent from Bath, Somerset to Bangalore, India. Clear Bath "53" cancel on the embossed Victorian stamp and Bombay boxed cachet on the front. Bath E double circle stamp for NO 19 1849 together with Bangalore receiving mark and red wax seal on reverse. Sent via Southampton. Superb item which is from my private collection. Catalogued by Stanley Gibbons at £1100.
