Neat 1839 stampless folded letter datelined Calcutta, India and sent to London, then to Boston, incoming at New York. Variety of markings, including a London ship letter, the New York ship marking, a Suez forwarder, a manuscript forwarder on the revere, and a weak Singapore/India marking on the back, plus a boxed "INDIA" marking. Lots to deciper here; cover comes with carefully traced hand-drawn renderings of the markings. Some staining or adhesions on back; nice cover!Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
