Bold Oval on Oct. 17 1838 Folded Cover From Calcutta, India to Boston, Mass., Carried Westward to Alexandria (Dec. 7), then to Malta Where the letter was slit & fumigated as indicated by "Purfie Lazaret Malte", backstamped London Dec. 27 & carried by British Ship to America, Red "New York Ship Feb. 10", almost Four Months in Transit & Bears 11 Different Markings, Extremely Fine & Very Rare Usage to America
