Feldman description: EARLIEST RECORDED EAST-TO-WEST WAGHORN COVER . 1836 (Sept. 30) Folded letter from Bombay to London, ms “P. Discovery / via Red Sea” and with superb boxed “To the care of / Mr. WAGHORN” hs at centre, 3/6 ms rate, received in London 6 Feb. 1837 after a transit of 129 days (bs).
