Description
Entire letter sent from Guernsey to Seringapatnam on 18 June 1809, forwarded in London by Messrs Perchard & Brock. Rated 1s single with red "F Jun 22 1809" circular handstamp and Guernsey G2 mark. It reached Madras on 3 January 1810, where the HG4 "Post Not Paid" was applied with date slugs and 7 Fannams due ("from Europe PNP 7f"). The letter was then forwarded to Bangalore by tapal peon Chinno, noted in manuscript.
