Description

Used in Burma, 1854, ½a Blue, Die I (2; SG 2). Horizontal strip of three, large balanced margins all around, rich color, cancelled by diamond of dots with black Rangoon Post Office January 1855 double-circle datestamp on back of cover to Calcutta, Calcutta Feb. 1, 1855 arrival backstamp, Extremely Fine, a choice strip of three of the ½a on cover with the very rare black Rangoon Post Office cancel, very few strikes are thought to exist, ex Dr. Kornan
