Seroor is the headquarters of Seroor taluka in Poona District, Bombay Presidency, 36 miles north-east of Poona and 34 miles south-west of Ahmadnagar, situated 18°50' N and 74°20' E. Notable monument in the cemetery is the tomb of Col. W. Wallace, (1809) known as 'Sat Purush' or 'the holy man '.
