Nundoorbar

Nandurbar (the Nundoorbar of early records) is a city in the Khandesh borderland of north-western Maharashtra, headquarters of Nandurbar district in the Tapti basin near the Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh frontiers. A market town of the Bhil country, it lay on routes between Gujarat and the Deccan. Administered under the Bombay Presidency, it served as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings record the inland mail of Khandesh.
