Description

Mallegaum: 1832 (Feb. and Mar.) entire letters ex the same correspondence to Bombay, rated Qrs. 3.50 and Qrs. 1.75 (Portuguese currency) and showing good and barely legible strikes of the circular intaglio "MALLEGAUM. PO./NOT PAID" handstamp (HG 1); 1858 small envelope bearing 1/2a. and showing "MALLEGAUM/Bearing" and three other Paid or Bearing datestamps, and 1854 large piece with similar handstamp and Bombay datestamp and framed "TOO LATE".
