Jejooree
Jejuri (the Jejooree of early records) is a temple town in Pune district, Maharashtra, famed for the hilltop shrine of Khandoba that draws great pilgrim crowds. It lay on the Deccan routes south-east of Pune. Administered under the Bombay Presidency, it served as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings record the inland mail of the western Deccan.
