Serajgunge

Sirajganj (the Serajgunge of early records) is a city in the Rajshahi division of northern Bangladesh on the Jamuna (Brahmaputra), long a major jute-trading river port of eastern Bengal. It stood on the great river route of the north. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a post town, and its pre-1854 markings document the mail of the northern Bengal riverside.
