Segrowlee
Sugauli (the Segrowlee of early records) is a town in East Champaran district, Bihar, near the Nepal border, remembered as the place where the 1816 Treaty of Sugauli ended the Anglo-Nepalese War. It was a cantonment and route town of the northern frontier. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a post station, and its pre-1854 markings record the mail of the Champaran borderland.
