Oollooberriah

Uluberia (the Oollooberriah of early records) is a town on the west bank of the Hooghly in Howrah district, West Bengal, a river-trade settlement below Calcutta on the road toward Medinipur. It lay on the busy lower Hooghly. As a post town of the Bengal Presidency its pre-1854 markings trace the mail of the river below the capital.
