The Nattore HG 1 handstamp
Nattore is a town in the Rajshahi District, East Bengal and Assam, situated 24°26' N and 89°1' E, on the north bank of the Narad River, on the main road from Rampur Boalia to Bogra. It is a compact town clinging close around the palace of the Nattore Rajas, who rose to power in the eighteenth century.
Nattore HG 1 is a pre-1854 handstruck postal marking of the post office at Nattore — the present-day Natore — in the Bengal Presidency, British India, in recorded use from 1808 to 1809.
