Mozufferpore
Muzaffarpur (the Mozufferpore of early records) is a city in northern Bihar between the Gandak and Burhi Gandak rivers, a large district town and a leading centre of the Tirhut indigo tracts and lychee orchards. It lay on the routes of the north Ganges plain. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a major post town, and its pre-1854 markings record the mail of the Tirhut country.
