Kotulpore

Kotulpur (the Kotulpore of early records) is a town in Bankura district, West Bengal, in the Rarh plain toward the Damodar, a market settlement of the old Bishnupur country. It lay among the villages of western Bengal. As a post town of the Bengal Presidency its pre-1854 markings record the mail of the Bankura lowland.
