Durbangah
Darbhanga (long written Durbangah) is a city in northern Bihar, the historic seat of the Darbhanga Raj and a leading centre of Maithili culture in the Mithila plain. A large district town north of the Ganges, it lay on the routes toward Nepal. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a major post town, and its pre-1854 markings document the mail of the Mithila country.
