India, Dinapore, 1824, "DINAPORE POST PAID/18__" Double-Oval Handstamp (Giles 2). Exceptionally bold strike with manuscript "4th Jany (18) 24" date and "9as" rate added on back of folded letter to Teignmouth, England, framed "INDIA LETTER/PLYMOUTH" handstamp (Robertson In. 1), two Calcutta General Post Office (Jan. 10, Giles SD8a) transit datestamps, manuscript "1/1" rate marking, Very Fine strike, scarce this choice
