Commillah
Comilla, now Cumilla (the Commillah of early records), is a city in eastern Bangladesh near the Tripura border, an old town of the Tippera country and later a centre of the Bengal district of the same name. It lay on the routes between Chittagong and the Meghna plain. Within the Bengal Presidency it served as a district post town, and its pre-1854 markings record the mail of eastern Bengal.
