Well struck and mostly complete strike with manuscript "(18)27" on back of folded letter datelined Nov. 17, 1827, addressed to Calcutta, red Calcutta (Nov. 18) arrival backstamp (affected by opening tear), Very Fine strike, Giles notes this handstamp was only used from 1820-1830 and is rare
