Description

This handstamp: A black colour boxed Ship letter receipt handstamp "KING'S POSTE/CO's INLD. d° /181" ',used between 1816-1819, a very desirable and sought after handstamp. Other Marks: 1) A black colour Crowned "INDIA PACKET LETTER / G.P.O. / LONDON / DATE / YEAR" ', used from the time of Act of 1815 until the Act of 1819 at LONDON through the India Ship Letter Office. A rare handstamp. 2) The despatch stamp of INVERNESS in double circle "DAY / MONTH / YEAR" in black. 3) A red octagonal "MAY / WV / YEAR" and 5 in circle at the centre, receipt mark.
