Well-struck in black on folded cover datelined Calcutta Jul. 4, 1816, to London, England, forwarded locally, sender's directive "Pr. Bulman" , "Ship Letter" and "More to Pay" boxed handstamps, London Dec. 14 arrival backstamp, vertical file fold through the left side of the Giles SD5 handstamp, Very Fine, this marking was usually struck in red over a 32-month period--for a period of about five months, from March to July 1816, black ink was used (five in black reported)
